Monday’s work

Things we need to do tonight:

• Please bring Kissing the Witch for today. We will finish up our conversation. Bring laptops/tablets too: we’ll do the blog post in class together. 
• We’ll choose two students to work with from Wendy Fairon’s class. I’ve put them into pairs already. I have a plan for how we can easily choose and we’ll negotiate in class. I’m going to Wendy’s class on Thursday and I’ll share your names with the 8th graders.
• We need to divide up the Donalyn Miller chapters since your groups will be leading conversations on Mondays about her text. We’ll talk about this work. Please read the introduction of her book.
• Deciding to hold off on Twitter (we’ll do this Oct 15 instead). Use this Wednesday’s class to buy or get your hands on the 4 books you need to work with Wendy’s students.
