Hello πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ƒ

Hello πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ƒ

Hello everyone my name is Steven and I’m a Nerd. I read comics, dress up in costumes, play video games, and watch Disney movies. I love cuddling on the couch with my fiance, his name is Kyle. I come from a very poor family and I am the first of them to go to college. I do wish someone had told me there were programs for that. But I have made it this far with help from friend and the pool I now call my family, and I am grateful to each one of them. This class is required for my degree in English Education, but it is not the only reason I am taking it. I chose this coarse because I believe that, as a future teacher, I should learn all I can when it comes to teaching a student. Now to the Wenger article. I wanted to discuss the last paragraph on page 4. Wenger talks about participation, it happens in both a professional setting and a community setting. I agree that participation happens every where you turn. People are constantly learning from each other when that are socializing. A kid will teach another kid how to play hopscotch or how to use a swing. While adults teach each other about their different hobbies and interests. This type of thinking is very important when it come to the future of teaching. From Wenger we can learn that it does not have to be every man or women for themselves. We can have a world were people learn from each other.

  1. It’s nice to meet you Steven! I hope your coach doesn’t mind when you make-out with your fiance on top of him/her. LOL, joking of course. I agree with you that it is our responsibility to learn from each other and as future teachers we also need to create a relationship with our students that express that learning relationship. I’m not your blogging “partner” but I liked your post so I had to comment ; )

  2. Hi Steven,
It’s nice to meet you. o (^β€Ώ^) I’ve never dressed up in costumes, but it sounds fun. I’m not a gamer, but do love Disney. “Hunchback of Notre Dame” and β€œHow to Train Your Dragon I and II” are my favorites.

I agree, we learn every day for the rest of our lives. A unending supply of good and bad information, but nevertheless, we learn. My Abuelita once said, β€œlearn as much as you can, because everything learned will be used, even if it’s used once.” Everyone is both a teacher and student in life.

β€œIn learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.”
