We’ll use Perusall to annotate and read together. Protocol for looking at multimodal texts
- Just describe what you notice without judgment: color choices, font, text size, materials used, music, images, etc. Name all the components you notice.
- Describe what meaning you take away from the work.
- Describe elements you think are successful.
- What elements are carrying the load for meaning making? What elements are doing the most work for meaning? Is it color? Is it music? Is it talk? Is it text?
- What questions do the choices of elements raise for you? What would you like to ask the creator?
