Introduction to Jaurele

Introduction to Jaurele

Jaurele, I am so excited to be working on this project with you, and to start reading new books! My name is Avery S. and in my free time I love to swim for the Chico Aqua Jets, watch Youtube, read and binge watch on Netflix(way too much). Oops!

I chose these books because they all were recommended to me by Mrs. Fairon, I chose Copper Sun by Sharon M. Draper because I read Out of my Mind and i absolutely loved it! I will be reading this book first. The other books are Maze Runner which I was mainly reading so I can watch the movie, and the book I am most excited about is Drums, Girls, and dangerous Pie.

I am super excited to get this started and to read with you,

Avery S.

  1. Hi Avery! I’m excited to get started, too. My oldest niece is 13 and she’s a Humboldt Water Dog so I may have seen you swim at one of her meets. Small world, right? I’m also guilty of binge-watching shows on Netflix (currently on season 3 of “Parenthood”) when I’m not binge-reading, so I completely understand.

I used to work at a bookstore and Copper Sun has been on my to-read list ever since it first came out. I’m glad I finally have the opportunity to bump it to the top of my list! I really want to see Mazerunner in the theater so I’m sure I’ll be tearing through that book when we get to it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on all of these titles soon.

    1. Hi Jaurele!
I finished Copper Sun and it was so so good! I loved the detail Draper put into the book and how I got to the characters. It was very well written. Im now on Maze Runner and I am Ecstatic! I also think that it is AWESOME that your niece swims and that we may have encountered at one time!! Super small world! Parenthood is also one of me and my moms favorite TV show, except my friend spoiled it for me… I just really want Parenthood to be a series of books, how cool would that be?

I am so excited for Maze Runner and Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie, which book were you most excited for?
      Avery S.
