Final Check List: YAY!
Hello awesome people!
Here’s a handy check list for us as we finish out this semester:
Quick video that explains these things here:
*A. Just added: the Liberal Studies program would like feedback on the capstone course. Would you mind taking this survey? This would be a chance to say what worked about our particular section and suggestions you have about future capstone courses and the program: LINK HERE. THANK YOU!
- Please make sure your paper is also shared with my google drive: kjaxon@mail.csuchico.edu (note: email is different for my google drive than the one I email you from).
- Then, use this Google Form link to share the following things:
- Bio (examples here)
- Photo
- Paper Title
- Link to Paper
- Link to Remix/Artifact (your letter to parents, lesson plan, curated resource, video…)
Things to consider for your final drafts:
-
- They’re complete, right? 😉
- Check APA formatting (sample APA paper)
- check subheadings
- Basic in text quote: As Smith (2004) argues, “Blah blah blah” (p. 13).
- Fulcher (2003), for instance, makes this basic criticism of the EBB scale even as he subsequently argues that “the explicitness of the design methodology for EBBs is impressive, and their usefulness in pedagogic settings is attractive” (p. 107).
- Article titles in quotes: “Title: Title Title Title”; books in italics Book Title.
- When you reference an author’s research, your verb is in present tense. So, for example: As Smith states, “….” instead of As Smith stated…
- References page completed
- Abstract and keywords
- Remove the template language/instructions from within your draft
- Watch for Kim’s “bossy edit” and edit/resolve comments
Everything is due by Thursday, May 20th at 2:00pm. 😉 Kim will curate our shared resource and send to you all (and post on our website).
