LeeAnne Introduction

LeeAnne Introduction

Hello! My name is LeeAnne, and I’m a junior here at Chico State. I am majoring in Liberal Studies because teaching has been a dream of mine since my first day of kindergarten. Reading has always been something I enjoyed doing in my spare time, and it was always my favorite activity in school. To me, being a “reader” means being someone who actively reads when they aren’t being asked to. People who look for new content and seek reading material that will teach them new things. Personally, I love to read about news and current events, as well as novels and autobiographies. I don’t have a chance to sit down and read a lot of books lately, but it’s definitely something I enjoy. Aside from reading, I spend a lot of time working with animals. I volunteer for butte humane society weekly and I work nearly full time for a doggy day care, so I’m pretty much just a crazy dog lady. (See photo for reference) Coming to Chico has been great for me because I get to spend so much time outside and make a difference in the areas that I’m most passionate about. I’m really looking forward to taking this course and getting to know more about literature that I can pass on to my future students.

  1. Hey! Nice to meet you. I like your definition of a “reader”. I also love dogs (and every other animal). It is so cool you volunteer at the human society. being a dog sitter sounds like a pretty fun job :)
