Nancy Lopez

My name is Nancy Lopez and I am a third year student here at Chico State. I’m from a small town not far from here, Colusa. I have three brothers and no sisters, a 21yr old, 17yr old and a 3yr old. I’m very close to my family and often go home on the weekend. Ever since I was little my mom would babysit a lot and I would never have a babysitter or got sent to a day care. I think that because of this I always knew I wanted to work with kids, at first I thought I wanted to be a teacher because I remember all of mine and how they made a positive impact in my life. Last semester though I was a TA at Rosedale here in Chico. During my time there I mostly worked with a smaller group of student, thats when I realized I didnt want to have a full classroom all to myself. In the future I wish to be in a day care center setting.

Ever since I can remember I’ve liked to read and I still enjoy it even though there isn’t as much as I’d like. I enjoy classic books more than anything but I read all genres. I also enjoy being outdoors but get really bad allergies at times, it seems like the things I enjoy the most give me allergies though, such as playing with cats and eating avocados.
