The Fault in our Stars Maeve Lawson

The Fault in our Stars Maeve Lawson

Hi Trevor,

I just finished The Fault in our Stars by John Green. Honestly, I don’t see why everyone loves this book so much. I thought it was very well written and a very sweet story. I wasn’t captivated by it though and I have no idea why.

My favorite character was Augustus Waters. He was such a sweet and thoughtful boy.  I broke my heart when he died. I love it how he wrote Peter Van Houten about an epilogue for Hazel.

I don’t really have a least favorite character. I suppose the logical choice would be Peter Van Houten, but I can’t hate him. He probably was tired of everyone freaking out about how good his book was. He probably though, “Oh, here’s another couple out to badger me about writing a sequel.” That is still no way to treat people though.

I don’t have any particular feelings about this book. It was very well written, but I can’t find anything I like or dislike about it. I don’t really like romantic books which is probably why I don’t have particular feelings about this book. Anyways, talk to you soon.
