Olivia C. Counting by 7’s Artifact

Olivia C. Counting by 7’s Artifact

I read Counting by 7’s for this book project. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone.

For my artifact I decided to draw the main points of the book. I included a quick description of each picture.

*this artifact being a summary, completely gives away the ending*

From my picture it may be hard to read each description. Here is a list of what it says:

  • Willow is an odd child.
  • She starts middle school.
  • She meets new friends Mai and Quang He.
  • She is sent to the school counselor, Dell.
  • Dell drives the new friends home. Police cars are waiting.
  • Willow’s parents died in a car crash.
  • She now needs a new home. Pattie, Mai’s mother takes her in temporarily.
  • Willow gets used to her new home, a nail salon’s garage.
  • She learns and adjusts to their Vietnamese culture.
  • Child services want to inspect Pattie’s house.
  • The family temporarily moves into Dell’s apartment.
  • The inspection goes well.
  • Everyone goes to court to figure out Willow’s guardian.
  • It turns out Pattie is rich. She buys an apartment complex.
  • Pattie can now permanently adopt Willow!

Enjoy,

Olivia

  1. I really like you artifact and the way you made it a timeline of Willow’s life! Very creative and the drawings you did made it even better! I can’t wait to make the next one together!
