Elisa C: Wonder

Elisa C: Wonder

I started reading Wonder and so far its pretty good. In the beginning i wasn’t in to it but its getting better as i get farther in. A lot of  my friends have said they read it and said it was really good toward the middle and end and a couple people told me they even cried so i’m kinda excited cause i like books that can make me cry so i’m gonna keep reading and see if  i like it .

If you read wonder first let me know what you think about it. I have a lot of things after school so i’m trying to find as much time as possible to read but its kinda hard cause i’m a cheerleader and we practice a lot. I’m 13 and gonna be 14 next year in January. I also like to play basketball and i have two brothers who play football so we watch a lot of NFL football games and are at our games all Saturday.  I have two pet dogs and i love animals.

let me know what you think of the book so far or if you’ve started it and about where you are in the book so i can try to keeps up because i’m not a very fast reader but i’m excited to read it.

  1. Hey Elisa. Not to worry on how far you are along with Wonder. I myself am not the fastest reader and I actually read Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. It was a great book and I recommend it to you if you said you like a book that can be a tearjerker. It had me almost tearing up in a few parts of the way those brothers love each other so much. With Wonder I am just starting the book and like it so far. I am on page 67 of the eBook; the chapter is titled called “Mr. Browne’s October Precept.”
So far Wonder has really intrigued me. To some level I can relate to August because I went through a move at the same age when you transition form elementary school to middle school. So I can understand how hard it is going to a new school and not knowing anyone. What I will never be able to relate to is the teasing and constant looks that August received. I was a little over weight but nothing that brought the same kind of attention August is receiving.
My Favorite character so far other than August is Jack Will. August already likes him and I can tell they are going to be good buddies. This also reminds me of my move because in my homeroom teacher assigned a boy named Daniel Diaz (DJ) to show me around the school and introduce me to some of his other friends. DJ and I hit it off right from the start and we have been best friends for 10 years with the start of this new school year. I hope that August and Jack form some kind of relationship similar to mine and DJ’s. Have you ever had to go through a move before where you switched schools?
In the few couple days my goal is to read 200 hundred pages and have another post to you on Wednesday. Then finish the book by Friday and share a final post over the weekend. That will put us right on our pace of one book every two weeks. How does that sound with you?
