Introduction to Tessa

Introduction to Tessa

Hello Tessa,

My name is Miranda B, but I go by Mimi. I am excited about this project and I wanted to tell you a little about my self. One of my main hobbies is classical ballet, we actually just started pointe work. I also like horse back riding and occasionally I play volleyball. For this project I choose two John Green books and one book by Virginia Euwer Wolff. I am starting with The Fault in our Stars by John Green. I hope that you and I get to understand these books much more , when working as a team . I can’t wait to get started.

Sincerely , Mimi

  1. Hi Mimi! I am also very excited to work side by side with you during this project. I just finished the Fault in our Stars, usually I am a very slow reader and it takes me awhile to get through a book, but I just couldn’t put this one down. I finished it in a weekend, which I don’t think I have ever done with a book before…. except maybe Heaven is Real. My mom passed away from cancer just under two years ago so the Fault in our Stars really hit home for me. I am very excited to talk about this book as you get through it! I look forward to working with you more! Happy reading! :)

  2. I am very sorry about your mother :(.I don’t have as close of a connection as you, but my family has also experienced some sadness from cancer.(This was before I was born) When my mother was three she lost her mother to cancer also, I wish I would have gotten a chance to meet her.

I am also normally a slow reader, but I’m not quite feeling that with this book. It’s just so amazing to me how John Green is such an a great writer even when writing from a girls perspective. I wonder where he gets his girly thoughts from?!( You know, cause he’s not a girl) Which books are you reading now?(Outside of this project)

    1. Sorry I just saw your post! Thank you and I am sorry to hear about your grandma! I bet she was a wonderful lady. I agree with you, I am such a slow reader and I was able to get through this book in just one weekend! Where are you right now? What parts have been you favorite? Any parts that surprise you? And I know right?! Hazel seems like such a straight forward “girl” character, how did he do it?! :) Amazing really. Outside of this project I am really busy reading for other classes and every morning I like to read my bible, but other then that not much. How about you? Hope to talk to you soon!

  3. Right now I am a little past the part when they come back from Amsterdam , and Gus has cancer again. When i read this part I cried in history class. I really like the characters , and their personalities. I haven’t been able to read any other books becides the Fault in our stars because I’m so busy . I also enjoy reading the Bible I just don’t do it often.(Do you go to church here in Chico?) Mrs.Fairon said you were missing yesterday ,I hope I get to see you soon! Cant wait to get started on my next John Green book. I wonder if he writes the same or if it will be different?
