I just finished A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass. It cultivated in me a new way to look at colors. The way the main character visualized colors was amazing. I couldn’t put the book down. I liked how believable it was. The author did a great job of describing what the characters were like and how they felt. There were sad parts and amusing parts to the story. The death of Mango was the most shocking and depressing. Wendy Mass gave a detail in the book that suggests that the cat Mango has a part of the soul of a relative that the main character is related to. I thought that was a very interesting part to include, but it makes the story more unusual and special. Mango’s colors played a big part in the book and how the story played out.

Overall this is the most unusual book I’ve read, but also It’s the best book I’ve read so far. It was well written and easy to understand. Wendy Mass was able to perfectly describe the colors related to sound and what shapes the colors took on. I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

I just started A Mango Shaped Space. I’m already pretty far in too the book and I just started it last week. So far I love it every twist and turn further builds my excitement to read more. The way the author writes the book makes me see and feel what the character is doing. I’m more happy with this one then I am with Legend. Mia really intrigues me how she sees color I wish I could see color how she does especially how sees music that’s my favorite part. I love how the writer describes mango as Mia sees him I have a cat and I wish my cat looked and acted like mango. I would like to live in the house Mia does because of all the cool crevices and passage ways through the walls and different colored wood would look cool on the outside of a house I think.

I just finished Legend by Marie Lu. I thought it was the best book ever! Marie Lu really does a good job in explaining the characters and their feelings. It made me feel like I was in the book. The descriptions were superb, and easy to understand. This is the best dystopian novel by far. The one thing I didn’t understand in this book was how old they were. Now that I’m interested in this novel I ,think I might read the books that come after it.

The end was very suspenseful and I couldn’t put it down. I was shocked that john went back to the execution yard to save Day. I’m happy that they were able to escape safely from Los Angeles. I really loved this book and I was sad when it ended. I can’t wait to read the next books.
