Avery: Maze Runner
Hi Jaurele!
Im so excited to say this but, I finished Maze Runner! It was such an amazing book even though it took a while to get into it. Now I am super anxious to see the movie and to read the rest of the series. Im not the biggest fan of distopian novels but it was one of my favorites and I sure hope to read more of his books.
This story was so good and love how the author made it very clear that Thomas and Teresa were important *IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED THE BOOK DON’T READ ON* I think that he did a perfect amount of painting a clear image but definitely not a perfect one so we could still have wonders and questions that we would find out later. Like how to get out of the maze, what beetle blades are, what grievers were and why Thomas and Teresa were important which you find out later on.
This book also shows great courage like when Thomas had to save Alby put him before himself when he was first in the maze, even though he strongly disliked Alby. This book was also very confusing at many points in the story. Like why, when, and how did they get to the maze. And yes, I know its because they are genius or something like that but still, why them? I still have so many questions. Also, I thought the ending absolutely sucked (sorry not sugar coating at all) I cried so much and hated how they had Thomas’s “brother” Chuck die. After they had finally left the shank it was so happy then bam. Hate.
I will still eventually finish the series and read on, but I need major Maze Runner rehab, so I am now going to read Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie which I am so stoked for! Hope you are too :)
