My favorite story out of this book would have to be the tail of the rose. This is my favorite because it just tottaly threw me off. This story was a re write of beauty and the beast and that was one of my favorit fairytale when i was growing up.the way this one was writes had a new fun twist to it apposed to the one i grew up with. The fact that her father prakticaly gave her away in traid unlike in the story i remember she was trying to help her dad out. he fact that she was never held prisoner by the beast and she was excited for her new life there at the castle was the tottal opposit of the original fairy tail. What really had me gasping in saprize was when it was revieled that the beast was a women and not a man she was saving in the end.

 

The story i think  best captures women today was the tail of the shoe. Now i hope no one takes offence to this but in this story the women wants to go to the ball. Thats all she wants and asks for. Shes beautiful admired and the prince falls in love with her but in the end she chooses to stay with the lady over her perfect fairytail. Im not saying all wemon are confused and dont know what they want when it comes to love and happiness hahah! But i know i can be confused more then im not. So to me this showes our abilitie to make up our own minds but we tend to change it a lot of the time too. well i know i do but thats my porogative as a women right?haha!

I think the author titles the book kissing the witch becauses its not what one would expect for a tittle. Also since when does the witch have a back story in support to why she did what she did. Also in the end the witch is still a person…

So we all know of and or have seen the Disney movie snow white. Well after reading Brothers Grimm’s version I will never be able to watch the Disney version the same again! :P When you think of the snow white we all know we think of an older (woman) and the dwarfs and the eval step mother. Well what was not familiar or sounded right to me was the fact that the step mother and snow white didn’t always not get along. At some point they were actually very close until the step mothers saw Snow white as a threat due to her beauty.  That was not only new to me but very surprising.

For one since when did the step mother want her liver and lungs as well? I thought it was just her heart. And another huge thing that just baffled me was the fact that Snow white wasn’t even a teen or an adult. Snow White was only 7 years old! really?!… The theme of this story was the quines hatred for the young 7 year old because she was basically threatened by Snow Whites beauty.

As a side not I can not get over these stories they are so crazy but awesome at the same time!

There was no trail to find her way back, a matter of fact  there were no birds!.. there seemed to be no life within the forest. No birds no charm just the bones amongst the dismal forest.
