My name is Haya and I’m Syrian. I have a lot of pride and I probably can’t go 10 minutes without saying something about my culture, ohhh welllll. I’m an English Education major.

Wenger talks about learning as a social participation. I relate to this aspect of learning because I find better results from studying with a group and/or someone else than I do on my own. I personally find a lot of distractions but with others, we’re all focused to do one thing. Wenger says “Participating in a playground clique or in a work team, for instance, is both a kind of action and a form of belonging.” It is important to find yourself belonging to something, or being a part of something bigger in order to get other ideas and thoughts.
