Hi Lindsay,

I first picked this book up when I went on the DC and NY trip about six months ago, but I only read the first 25-30 pages because I didn’t really think it was that interesting and I really didn’t like it that much then. But now that I am reading it again for this project, and I really like it much better.  It has most definitely surprised me.

I think its interesting that it doesn’t have “chapters” so to speak but more sections like in a news article, but I really like that its not like any other typical book. So far I’m 136 pages in the book and in Jacks point of view. One of the thing that is different about this book and I really appreciate is how each person has a section how it is through there eyes. How do you feel about this?

One thing I don’t understand about this book so far is why Jack has his own section, although I’m only about 4 pages into his section I still don’t understand why the author decided to give him one because Jack isn’t one of his friends. I like how the author puts Via’s story and how she feels about having a brother like August. I wonder why there mom doesn’t have a section yet or a combined section with there mom and dad?
