Cora Radiance, pages 110-end

Cora Radiance, pages 110-end

Hi Madison, I finished Radiance, and overall, I liked this book. There were a few things that confused me though, for example when Bodhi and Riley are trying to get the Weeping Woman to cross the bridge. I really like that Bodhi’s character is a little bit mysterious, and I wonder if in the next book he and Riley might be in some sort of romantic relationship? Near the end of the book she was sort of saying “Oh, he’s not so bad after all” I love the part where she is flying, it sounds so beautiful. I have started my second book, Rebel Spirits, and I would like to start blogging soon, but if you aren’t done with Radiance yet I can wait because I have 2 other books to read. :) I can’t wait to hear more from you!

Cora M: Radiance, pages 1-110

I am on page 110 of Radiance, and so far, I am enjoying this book. I see some similarities to another book I’m reading, Elsewhere. They are both about a girl who dies young, and sort of starts again in the afterlife. The author of Radiance does a good job conveying Riley’s emotions, especially when she is talking to the judges, and is seeing clips of her life playing on the screen. She feels like she has to defend herself, and like this is a sort of judgement day, but they don’t criticize her, and this surprises her. An interesting character is Bodhi. She at first thinks he’s nothing but an annoying dork, but becomes suspicious that there is more to him than she originally thought. I was a little confused about the part when she is trying to get the Radiant Boy to cross the bridge to the afterlife though. I wonder if he is going to become an important character, because the title is Radiance. I can’t wait to read more and find out!

Introduction to Madison

Introduction to Madison

Hi Madison,

My name is Cora, and I am really excited to start blogging with you. I love reading, especially young adult fantasy novels. Some of my favorites are Divergent, and City of Bones. I chose the books I did because of their genre, and because I read the backs of the books and they sounded good. What is your favorite genre? I also love acting, even though I have only been in one big play, Alice in Wonderland. I am on the CCDS cross country team, and I have a little sister in 6th grade. I am really glad that we have this opportunity to read books that we like at school, and compare our opinions and discuss the books with other people. If it’s alright with you, I would like to start out with the book Radiance, because it’s shorter, and I am currently reading another book too, Dragons Wild. I look forward to blogging with you!

Sincerely, Cora M.
