Hi Maddie, I hope you are feeling better. I Have finished The Book Thief and  I would really like to know where you are at? Although The Book Thief was not a book that I couldn’t put down, I think it made a big impact on me. It was a slow read for me but, I’m so glad I read it. It made me think about a lot of things. People who lived during those times had it so hard. But I was thinking and, They didn’t know any better. They had days which we would consider horrible days but, they wouldn’t think much of it. They were living a normal day in their lives. Days that were slightly better than the rest were wonderful for them. They appreciated those days where they had just a little more food. Liesel considered her books to be treasure, when some of us now feel forced to read. If Rudy stole an apple one day, that was probably the best day in such a long time. Because people now don’t have it that hard, we’ve seemed to have lost appreciation for those little things. I think that’s how time goes though. We appreciate different things because the things that were rare back then, are so natural to us now. This book got me thinking so much and that’s great writing to me.

The ending was so incredibly sad. SO many books do that to me. It’s a love/hate relationship with those kind of endings. It was beautiful. It was terrible and beautiful. I would go into to detail but, I honestly don’t know where you’re at with reading. Anyways, this book is not usually something I would pick up and read. I like the realistic teen fiction kind of stuff. Although its not my usual read, It meant a lot and I do not regret it.

I started my next book, Drums, Girls, And Dangerous Pie. I just started it but, I think its something i’m going to like. I’ll give you updates.

Hi Maddie, I hope you are doing well. I’m still reading The Book Thief. I find myself thinking about it a lot. I see a lot of things that remind me of it. There’s this boy in my advisory on Fridays and he reminds me so much of what I imagine Rudy to look like. When I’m are reading a certain book, I see a lot of normal things and people that remind me of the book and I love that. Do you do that? Or is it just me?

Frau Diller confuses me. She seems so sad and controlled by her husband. I don’t think she ever got over her child dying. I don’t know where you are in the book  so its a little hard to talk about certain things but, I will try my best. Her and Liesel had a good relationship. I feel really bad for Frau Diller. I think She’s quite a mess. I think Liesel told her what she needed to hear though. What do you think about Frau Diller and the Mayor?

I just finished my artifact. I don’t know if you heard about those but, we are making certain things for our books. Mine is a music playlist on 8tracks.com. I will be posting a link on here soon.

Hi Maddie, how are you doing with reading? The book has been good so far. I think I came around to it because he had more things happening and it was easier to follow. I’m going to try to blog more. Right now i’m doing good with The Book Thief. Although I’ve been reading slowly, the book has kept me interested. As well as blogging, I’m also going to try to read more. Max fascinates me a lot. He has gone through a lot in his life and still feels guilty about being alive. I think that I would too if I were in his situation. I just feel bad for him. Well, for all the Jews. The connection between Max and Liesel is very comforting and sweet. I think its good for Max because he’s never really had someone like that. Liesel seems to be really interested in Max. I think she knows he’s unusual and has lots of stories with him. Although I don’t know if she fully understands the situation him and her family are in. Do you have any thoughts about Max? I didn’t hear about Rudy for a while until recently. Death talked about him and confused me a lot. I don’t know where you are in the book but, I would like to know.
