Weeks 5 & 6 & 7
Feb 22: Two tasks before class
- Share lesson plan based on YA novel on your YA novel group’s shared doc or slide deck.
- Give feedback to a partner from your regular group on their reading rationale. (see below)
YA lesson plan (activity) due. You’ll share with YA book club group in your shared Google Doc or Slides. Together, you’ll work to turn the set of lesson plans into a cohesive few days.
Here’s the link to the slides with some resources from Wednesday’s class.
Also, before Monday’s class, give feedback on the Reading Rationale to one person in your regular team. See partners below. As you know, you can find the links to the Rationales in our Currents Community. Tell them what you like, give them suggestions for readings, or how to work with readings. Make sure your Google Doc share settings are on “everyone with link can comment”

March 1: We’ll think about how to draft writing assignments. Bring some of your favorite writing assignments from other classes.
March 3: Support for drafting writing assignments. A writing assignment to give to a partner is due March 10.
March 8: bring a start to a writing assignment based on the text(s) you’re using in your Unit Plan. We’ll do some consultations with peers to revise.
