Hello everyone, I am Rachel Chuhak. Before attending Chico State I lived in a small town in the eat bay called Martinez. Back there I went to College Party High School. When I was not with school or friends I loved to dance. I did competitive dancing from the age of eight all the way till I graduated high school. I have enjoyed my time here so much and loving all of it. I am here to get a major in liberal studies and a minor in special education. I have wanted to be a teacher since first grade when my teacher made such a huge impact on my life. My main goal as a teacher is to have that impact on all my students so the end up enjoying school instead of hating it like many students do. I am very excited to learn many more skills I can use in the future as a teacher.

A reader to me is someone who reads for fun instead of being forced to from class. Also, someone who has a thirst for learning and they really comprehend what they are reading. We do so much reading in our day-to-day life, from texting, reading or even seeing an article on Facebook. As a student who has never really enjoyed reading one of my main goals as a teacher is to make my students want to read instead of feeling like they are being forced.
