Cinderella who? – Rachel Samson
There is no donkey that drops gold.
There are no branches for “Cinderella” to hold.
Nobody is called a dirty slut.
Or that they have a great figure they could cut.

Hi! My name is Rachel Samson and I am currently a senior here at Chico State. I am a liberal studies major and I would to teach grades 3rd – 6th. I am 21 years old and I am originally from the Bay area. In my free time I love to be active and go hiking at Bidwell park. I am also currently volunteering at the butte humane society because of my love for dogs.
To me, being “a reader” means that one is engaged and passionate in what they are reading. They are able to understand what they are reading, yet they are constantly asking questions at the same time. Outside of school I do not do as much reading as I would like. I have not read many books lately in my leisurely time, yet I do read other things. For example I like to stay updated on the current news. I read many news related articles and read a lot on other social media.
I found the Williams article to be very interesting. Being a reader can be defined many different ways and is not limited to one specific definition. I really liked how the article talked about this because I agree completely. Not everyone is “a reader” but everyone does have the ability to read.
