The Blog About All the Poems
Poem created from lines found Inside Out & Back Again:
Just like that Mother amends our faith,
Saying all beliefs are pretty much the same.
Where am I?
Mother chooses ten and burns the rest.
Not that far away after all.
My shot at imitative poetry:
so much depends
upon school
upon education
entire future
his, hers, yours
eyes staring back
you are in control
don’t miss

Wow, beautiful! I’m so sorry about the late reply to your blog. Life has really thrown me for a loop since spring break ended, and I’m still trying to get back on my feet. However, as they say, a response post is better late than never, right? I for one thought that the poetry books were the most fun books out of all of the books that we’ve had to read so far because they are so intimate and can be interpreted in many different ways. I think that’s why I’ve always enjoyed poetry units so much in school. However, I am not creative in any way, shape, or form when it comes to writing poems; I love to read other people’s’ work, but I think my own work is absolute garbage. I don’t know, maybe I have a problem. I hope you can forgive me for being so tardy on my responses! I really enjoyed your poem.
