Tessa Blog 3-The Lightning Thief

Tessa Blog 3-The Lightning Thief

Series books are some of my favorite books!  I loved reading the Hunger Games series and the Divergent series during the summer and winter breaks.  I have realized why it is so difficult for me to read for fun during the semester though.  I truly believe that during the winter I will want to read more books from this series but with my schedule, I find it very difficult to find time to read textbooks nonetheless for enjoyment.

I’m going to be completely honest and say that I have finally finished the first chapter of this book and I’m very much enjoying it.  I believe that this book would be a perfect fit for a student who enjoys a catching read and feels like they’re having a hard time in school.  The main character has trouble staying at one school for more than a year and is finding out that it might not be just his fault.  I’m excited to find out whats going to happen and hope that I can get through it before this class ends.

  1. I love series books too! After reading a good book that isn’t in a series, I get so mad because I want the story to continue! I read Divergent, and I only started insurgent, but I never got around to finishing it (I also refused to see the movie until I actually read it because I can’t do that to myself). I totally feel you on not having enough time to read simply for your own enjoyment- it’s so rare that I do because I feel guilty; I could be doing homework or cleaning or going to the gym etc.
