Crystal Arteaga Acevedo- Blog 1

Crystal Arteaga Acevedo- Blog 1

My name is Crystal Arteaga Acevedo, I am from Southern California. I love coffee, the color green and tennis. I’ve had a huge passion for education ever since I can remember. I moved to California from Mexico in 2002. The learning challenges that I faced has made me want to work with ESL( English as a Second Language) students. I hope to help them as much as I was helped and to ease the educational and cultural transitions.

I am the middle child in my family. I have an 8 year old dog back home. My sister currently had another baby, and I cannot wait to meet her. I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years now and luckily he is also attending Chico State. My all time favorite show is How I met your mother. My favorite book is Esperanza Rising. My favorite food is Chilaquiles and I love to drink Coca-Cola. I am currently living the life of a busy bee. 6 upper division classes, 20 hours of work as a preschool teacher and trying to add in some gym time when possible. So far it has not been that bad but definitely need to figure out a way to get more sleep!

Riddle

I am not a bunny who is trying to hook up with you.

I am however a mess and in distress.

I do not wear a red cape but I do wear a glass slipper

I do not run away from my father but I do run away from my prince

I do not mention my grandmore but I do mention my mother

  1. Hi Crystal!! We’re blog buddies :) I also am from Southern California and my favorite color is green!! What part of SoCal are you from? I grew up all over but am currently living with my mom in Palm Desert and my dad in San Diego (they’re divorced). What a small world. It sounds like you’ve had a very interesting life so far! I also have a boyfriend who attends Chico State and we are about to celebrate our two year anniversary. I can relate to team no sleep with all my studies as well as volunteering at the Butte Humane Society with CAVE.

I’m excited to get to know you and read your blog throughout this semester :)
