Leal: Introduction and Cinderella Riddle

Leal: Introduction and Cinderella Riddle

My name is Lidia Leal and I am currently a junior at Chico State. I only live about thirty minutes away from Chico, so I commute to school every day. I have an interest for nature and animals. My three dogs are very important in my life and they make a great addition to my family. My major is Liberal Studies with a bilingual option. In the future I would like to teach in a Spanish immersion school. In the past I have volunteered in a Spanish immersion school and I really enjoyed it. I was able to teach kindergarteners math and reading in Spanish. Ideally I would like to teach first or second grade. As for English 341, I am excited to read many books and expand my knowledge about different children’s book authors. I think this will help me in the future, in order to recommend books to students according to their likes.

Cinderella riddle

There are no two wives nor a great big fish

Dresses the color of seasons are not necessary

Nor coat of silver cloth

There is no cake; instead a bowl of lentils

Dads’ forgiveness at the castle is not an option but step sisters punishment is

  1. It is so cool that you want to teach bilingual students. I’m sure you got a good feeling of what it would be like when you taught kindergarteners math and reading! I’m curious why you are not as interested in teaching kindergarten after working with them. It will be so fun to blog with you!
