Jake H., Ready Player One

Jake H., Ready Player One

Hi Tessa, I finished The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian just a couple of days ago, and I loved how it ended! I had no idea how it was going to end, like if something would be solved or not. I thought it was overall a great book.

I have now moved on to Ready Player One, and even though I am only on page 29, I already love it! I don’t know why, but I really enjoy the apocalyptic crisis kind of story line, like in this book, where everything is just destroyed. I also really liked the newest X-Men movie because of that idea. I consider myself, at least partially, a gamer, so it naturally appealed to me. The only thing that I don’t like about the book is the slight atheistic feel so far. I am a Christian, but it doesn’t bother me too much. I am still looking forward to reading the book anyway, let me know how far you are in the book.

  1. Hi Jake! Sorry somehow this post slipped past me… I am so glad you liked the ending of The Part-Time Indian. I really liked that book.

And as far as this book I am actually not reading it, we were only required to read 5 of the 6 books and I am not into the gaming things at all so I chose not to read this one. I still would like to hear about it. What makes you like the gaming stuff? I honestly don’t know like anything about it so teach me :)
    Happy reading!
    -Tessa
