Looking for a date with a princess?

Looking for a date with a princess?

For the fairytale make, our group decided to collaborate on ideas that we had been sharing and discussing. Our group together thought of this grand idea of how the princesses would be as everyday women who are busy, independent, and trying to find love in a tech savvy world. Disclaimer: no we wouldn’t use this in our future classrooms but we thought it would be an interesting take on fairy tales and how we think of them today and how they would deal with the conditions we have now. The link below will allow you some insight as to what a princess might be looking for in her next prince.

  1. I love the content of this. The first thing that caught my eye was the title. Great way to get the attention of the audience and also brilliant insights of what a princess is looking for in a prince.

  2. I love this so much haha. I think turning a really old story into something, like tinder, that people can relate to is hilarious and really creative. I love the decriptions as well, like for sleeping beauty, she says she’s “not allowed to meet people” cracked me up. It was a super creative way to tie in her struggles from the story, like being isolated, into today’s terms and how she would speak and act in the present. Loved it.

  3. This is so creative! I would have never thought of doing this but I really like the modern insight into these princesses dating lives.. I was literally laughing out loud. I also liked that some of the princesses looked less proper in their profile pictures! Ariel’s profile bio is probably my favorite. Good job everyone with this make!

  4. Hi everyone! I love this make! From the stereotype prince searching for a princess, this version is so interesting. The bio’s are interesting and accurate, especially Princess Ariel. The photos that were chosen portray the princesses in a very modern sexy way. That is something we never see, we usually view these princesses as innocent idols. I wonder how it would be if the princesses were on Catfish. Overall, I really enjoyed this!
