Hi Jeannie.

I finished The Book Thief and it made me really emotional. I feel like the author did a really good job of telling us about the bombing before and not telling us too much so that we were still shocked.

When Max left it was sad but it wasn’t shocking because having a jew in your house at that time was just insane so and I sort of knew that he was going to end up going to a concentration camp but I didn’t expect him to make it out alive. Like when  he came into the Steiner’s shop after the bombing I could just feel the emotion in that room.

As much as I wanted everyone on Himmel street to come out alive and be happy. It just wasn’t going to happen. I knew that the raids would kill them from the beginning, I knew that Rudy wouldn’t get his kiss, or at least wouldn’t live to see it. I just wanted so badly to believe that they would.

 

At the beginning of 13 Reasons Why I didn’t really know what was going on and I thought that going back and forth between the tapes and Clay was a little confusing but eventually I got used to it.

It’s kind of hard to see what Hannah is feeling but I really understand Clay hopefully I will get to know Hannah a bit better.

Not a lot happened in this section but there was a lot on Rudy’s story, mostly about his typical boy behavior.

Also In this section the mayors wife fired Liesel and Rosa and it hurt Liesel so she seeks revenge by steeling a book from their house and I think that this the beginning to a career In steeling books here.
